Great pizza made with excellent ingredients. I had shrimp Alfredo this time and it was outstanding... The fried ravioli appetizer is yummy. First time trying the house sangria and it is very good as well. Small quaint and excellent food..

Today is Mother's Day and my first time here. A Italian restaurant that looks good on the inside. When we came in. It was (you know.) busy! The sign said "Please Seat Yourself." So we sat down at a table... Well they don't have any fancy tables (but clean). And what happen was... Nothing. We were like ghosts . The table behind us came in and got served. Instantly. We were waiting for 10 minutes. Then the waiter came (FINALLY!). And we ordered our drinks. The drinks came about 4 minutes. Then the table behind us got their food! (What!!! That's 6 people that they served.) really slow! REALLY SLOW! This place is EXPENSIVE! it's basically for rich people! We asked how much the buffet was. It was 18 dollars! What? Is this a special buffet? How about have a special price for Mother's Day! We never ordered it. It was to ordered our foods and our food came out about 10 minutes. I ordered the fries. It was not bad though. The waiter didn't know all the things we asked like. "What's the special today?" "Uhh,.. Let me see." Okay it's getting real annoying! To talk about this! After all this is was lame! "Ugh... A expensive buffet when it's MOTHERS DAY! Oh no! Moms not going to be happy about this bill!"

Ordered a pizza to go a couple of weeks ago. The veggies were fresh, but they were very stingy with the cheese and the pizza was very bland. It was almost as if they forgot a seasoning in the sauce or crust. I had to cover it with salt and garlic powder just to enjoy it. I probably won't ever order a pizza from Macri's again, Bruno's just a few minutes away has much, much better pizza. I would consider dining in and ordering something different though.

I went here for dinner awhile ago and I will not be back. Not only was the service slow but the food was absolutely not good. Some friends ordered pizza and that was okay but I ordered the pasta carbonara and while I am aware that eggs primarily make up carbonara sauce, they are not supposed to be scrambled. I might as well have ordered scrambled eggs and bacon with a side of pasta. I really like to support local businesses and it makes me sad when i try one and it is not good. I might also add that this was my second time trying Macri's and I was not impressed the first time around either.

Worst dining experience in a long time!! Service was horrible, like beyond horrible and we were one of two tables there! Food was nothing special, even a little chinsey. . .and ridiculously overpriced.

Pleasantly surprised by this quaint Italian eatery on the south side of South Bend. I'm sure you will find it delightful as well. Friendly service, full menu , from pizza to subs to pasta. I have been there 3 times and have not been disappointed yet!

Finally, something fantastic and unique on the South Side! You'll be magically transported from a strip mall across from a WalMart to...well, you can at least pretend you're in Italy and not be too far off. Macri's offers a generous variety of Italian food for more than one price range. Don't underestimate their wonderful sandwiches. People just don't understand how amazing eggplant can be.

My wife and I decided to try this place tonight and we were impressed. She got a small pizza. 14" that we shouldve shared!!! I got the Lobster Diavolo which also was big enough to be shared!!! They didn't skimp on the lobster either. I had at least 7 chunks of claw meat and that was just in the portion that I ate! I have a to go box that has a lot of leftovers. I will definitely be back to this place.

I went to this restaurant in the morning with my mom and grandma. The food was good. I got the pizza and salad bar. The salad bar was good, I kinda wish that they had a little more toppings and caesar salad dressing but it was good. The pizza was nice and was all you can eat. The service was good, the only problem I had was that you had to pay the cashier and that was also the carryout line and as I was ready to go, I was forced to wait for people to pay and wait for their food. This system should be looked at in order to get me out in a timely manner.

This is quickly becoming one of our favorite pizza places in town. Haven't tried any of their pasta dishes yet but the sandwiches and the pizzas are wonderful! You can tell they use only the best and freshest ingredients. Definitely give them a try!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
